We Need A Win To Get Back On Track

The best for us to get back on track is to prepare the best we can and go out and play a good game against Miami. You don't panic in these situations. You don't blame anybody. It's important that you realize that an NFL season is a marathon and a sprint.

We would rather be 2-0 than 0-2. That's obvious. But I thought we played a good second half against Baltimore, which was encouraging. We have to build on that.

It has been a team effort, in the sense that we all have to step up and play better to get a win on Sunday. Our defense was a lot improved from the opening game, so maybe we can keep getting better.

We're not going to be undefeated. But we can still accomplish our goals if we take it one step at a time together. We have faith in each other and Coach Mangini has a way of making sure we stay focused.

I know there is a lot of talk about our team mimicking signals, and I just think we can't get drawn into that. It makes no sense and it is something we absolutely don't do. I just hope every player keeps his focus on what we need to do this week.

All the talk is trivial. We have way too much on our plate to get drawn into that game. I don't know where people get this stuff.

The Patriots controversy from the last couple of weeks hasn't been a distraction for me. We're working toward getting on the right road. We need a win on Sunday against a team that is going to play physical football. Miami is getting better and better, so we need to play our best game to get a win.
