Super Bowl!!!

Our hard work this season has paid off, but we still have one more game to win. We have advanced to the Super Bowl, but that is not good enough. We are only one win away from being Super Bowl Champs. I am very proud of what this team, especially our defense, has accomplished this season. We started out 13-0 and have played real well in the playoffs. Our win over the Vikings last weekend was epic. You cannot ask for a much better game than the one we played. Both teams deserve to be in the Super Bowl against the Colts, but you can only have one. Thankfully, we were able to pull out the victory in overtime against a very tough and stingy Vikings team. I made a few key plays on defense to keep our team in the game. I am happy with the way I played, coming up with the big interception, fumble recovery, and a few important tackles. Now, we only have one more team in our way- the Indianapolis Colts.

I am thrilled to be able to play in the biggest game of the year on the national (and international) stage. I have always dreamed of playing in the Super Bowl, but now it has become a reality. It is somewhat surreal to be going back to Miami for the Super Bowl since I played my college ball at “The U.” I am staying focused on business, but this whole experience has definitely been a crazy ride. The atmosphere is incredible, especially having the Pro Bowl the week before the Super Bowl. I was glad to have been voted to the Pro Bowl roster, but I am even happier to miss the Pro Bowl because that means my team is still playing. I was honored to be named to the NFC team, but I am even more honored to be the leader of the defense representing the NFC in the Super Bowl.

The Colts have one of the best offenses of our generation. Peyton Manning is an excellent offensive mind, one of the best to ever play the QB position. I am excited to have the opportunity to play against him in the biggest game of my career. He is an incredible workhorse when it comes to pre-game preparation and studying film. We will have to put in as much work as we can to prepare for the Colts’ potent offense. Reggie Wayne, Joseph Addai, and their young receivers give Manning so many options on the field. We will need a complete team effort to be able to slow down their offense. I am confident that we will come out strong and play the game we want to play. The Colts’ offense is similar to the Vikings’ offense: veteran QB with a ton of quick WRs, excellent RBs, and strong TEs. It will be a great game for sure, but we need to control the game on the defensive side and give Drew Brees and our offense the chance to take over the game.

Thanks to everyone who has supported the Haiti relief efforts by purchasing one of my T-shirts, donated to charities, or prayed for the victims. I will be focusing my efforts this offseason to the relief efforts, but for now, I need to take care of business on the field. It is a very busy time, as you can imagine, so I appreciate all the support and donations. I expect to see the Who Dat nation out in full force cheering for us to bring home the Super Bowl Trophy!!
