Chance To Finish Season On A Positive Note 

We finish our season on Sunday when Carolina comes to town, and we want to play a great game, win and finish 9-7 and take something out of this season that we can hang our hat on. A win gives us five wins in our last six games. We've lost some tough games this year and we have given up too many big plays and it came around to haunt us.

Sunday is a test for our defense, obviously. Carolina runs the ball extremely well with two outstanding backs and a big, strong offensive line. They are very disciplined and they're physical. We take pride in our run defense, in the way we man up, and we're going to need to bring it in this game.

I know we aren't going to the playoffs. That is very disappointing. We have known for a couple of weeks that we weren't going and we went out and played a strong game in Detroit.

So we need to bring that same effort and pride against the Panthers. We want to put on a good show to thank our very loyal fans here. They've been great this year. Maybe we can go out and finish the season strong and look for better things ahead.
