Great Win over the Patriots Keeps Us Undefeated

We are now 11-0 after beating the Patriots 38-17 on the big stage of Monday Night Football. I am very pleased with the way our team played on offense and defense, limiting the Patriots’ number of big plays, while putting forth many big plays on offense. Drew Brees and our wide receivers played extremely well against a tough Pats’ defense. We were able to keep Tom Brady, Welker, and Randy Moss in check for the majority of the game. We had a few bad plays on defense, but overall we played very solid against a potent offense.

I am very happy to be able to beat the Patriots on the national stage of Monday Night Football. We not only won the game, but won convincingly and controlled the game and time of possession. I am very confident that we will be able to keep this winning streak going as long as we keep playing smart football. We prepared very hard to come out strong against a well-coached Patriots team. The hard work we put in all year paid off, but we need to make sure we do not let up anytime soon. Sure, we won a big game against a tough team, but now we need to rebound on a short week and prepare for the Redskins this Sunday.

Our defensive strategies were executed very well for the most part, enabling us to limit the Pats to only 17 points. We forced a few key turnovers and made some big stops on defense to turn the ball back over to our offense. It was very helpful to have Drew Brees and our offense score so readily. We had that extra cushion to be able to attack the Patriots more and force them to make tough plays. Of course this win has some extra significance to me after playing with the NY Jets, so it is a very nice feeling to come out on top against a former rival. We took advantage of playing this game at home and used the crowd at our backs as extra motivation. Who Dat Nation definitely came out strong and played a major factor in our win, so thanks for all the support and enthusiasm!

We have a few tough games coming up in the next few weeks, like games at Atlanta and vs. Dallas. The season is coming down to the tough stretch where we need to keep preparing well and grinding out wins. Our opponents will be gunning to knock us off, so we need to play hard every week, regardless of the opponent.
