One Game at a Time

"We play Detroit at home this week, and then we're at Cleveland the following Sunday. The New York media, with their wisdom, have been talking about us winning those two games, and going into our bye week with a 5-3 record. Don't get me wrong: I'd love to win the next two games, but we have to play the games first. You can never look at the schedule or a team's record and chalk games up for a win before you play them. I can honestly say that I've never done that.

You hear people in the NFL say that every game is as tough as the next, but I'd say 85 percent of guys really do believe it. The younger guys on a team might take more of a college approach where you play on a good team in college and you can make some mistakes against a "lesser" opponent and still win. That doesn't happen in the NFL. If you don't take care of the little things, you will lose, and you see it happen every week around the league..."
