The Playoff Payoff

Check out Jonathan's latest post from his exclusive FHM Magazine blog...

"If you're reading this, you know that we're headed to New England on Sunday to face the Patriots. You also probably know we're going up there as underdogs, which is fine with us. We don't care what anyone says about us being underdogs. We're in the playoffs and we're there to win. Anyone who's written us off doesn't share our locker room or play on the field with us.

We've gotten this far because of consistency and hard work. There were a lot of new things: a new offense, new defense, new coaches that we had to get to know and get good at in a hurry. But the truth is that the core of this team is the same as the team that went to the playoffs two years ago, which is why I said way back in minicamp that I thought we had a team that could make it to the playoffs. A lot of the success we've had so far has been due to my teammates' attitudes.

If we were just taken on paper, which happens too often in sports, there is no way we should be in the playoffs. All we do is put stats aside and focus on winning games. On defense, we committed to not giving up points and we ended up sixth in the league at the end of the regular season—first over the second half of the season—in points allowed. You can win a lot of games if you don't give up points..."
