Glad To Remain In New Orleans 

I felt at the end of the 2008 season that we had not finished our business. I felt that we left too many plays on the field and didn't finish games like I know we can. So I am extremely pleased to be back with New Orleans, with a new contract, and I want to be part of this defense as we take another step forward this season.

It all worked out the way I hoped it would. The coaching staff here and the front office has been great with me, so there was never really a thought of leaving. I could have gone out and shopped around, knowing that a lot of teams have a lot of money under the salary cap. But that's not what I'm about. I want to play here and I want to be loyal to a team that reached out and wanted me last year.

So now my mind is free and clear. I feel great physically. Mentally, I'm relaxed and excited to improve this defense. I know we have work to do, and I know we have a great group of guys who are going to work together.

Thanks to all of the Saints fans who have supported me through this time. I'm a Saint. I am here and I am looking forward to a great run in New Orleans.
