Miami #1

Bleacher Report
Miami #1
Number 1: Miami Hurricanes
Where can I start?
First of all, the Canes produced one of the greatest linebackers of all time, Ray Lewis. In 01' my man Ray had 112 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 3.5 sacks and 3 INT's. His achievements include being an 11 time Pro Bowl selection, 9 time All Pro selection, 2001 Super Bowl MVP, 2 time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, 3 time AFC Defensive Player of the Year, 1st team all American and Big East, and was a finalist for the Butkus Award.
Lewis is a hero too. With a heart of gold, he won the NFL Linebacker Alumni Award for his works in charity. He is also a great leader.
Then there is Jonathan Vilma. Vilma finally got a Super Bowl ring this year, but that's not his only achievement. VIlma also has been a 2 time Pro Bowl selection and the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 04. In college, he was All ACC twice and was a semi-finalist for the Dick Butkus Award.
This was probably his most productive year, when he had 107 tackles, 2 sacks, 3 INT's, 1 touchdown and 4 forced fumbles.
Then we have D.J Williams. Williams is easily in my opinion the most underrated player in the NFL, and had a phenomenal year in 09. He had 114 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 INT and 1 forced fumble. He was 2 Time All Big East and was a semi-finalist for the Butkus Award.
And those linebackers are just my favorites. With Dan Morgan, Ted Hendricks, and Jon Beason to boot, you can easily see why the U is the king when it comes to linebacker university.
