Q)
I wanted to share with you a plan my son has for helping Haiti. He is an 8 year old second grade student and from the moment the earthquake struck he has wanted to do something. There are limits on what an 8 year old can do, but we found Kids Against Hunger and will be packaging food on March 27th in Omaha NE. Luke is raising between $3,500 and $12,500. Big range, the low end will pay for two pallets of food to feed 7,128 meals. The $12,500 will provide a full day of packing meals and take the fundraising burden off KAH. The day will provide 50,000 meals. Luke is very excited and I am a very proud father. I know that it is unlikely that you could come to the event, but I wanted you to know that many people care at all age levels. Good Luck next year I know that you made our priest very happy with the Super Bowl win as he wore his Saints hat to give the Sermon on Super Bowl Sunday!

Hey Steven, thanks for the great comment! That is a tremendous story about your son wanting to do something to help out the people in Haiti. He sounds like a great kid, so that must reflect on a great job as a dad! Unfortunately, my busy schedule would not allow me to attend, but thanks so much for reaching out and letting me know about your cause! Talk to you soon. Keep up the great work.

Jonathan, my firm will be hosting a silent auction in the coming months as a way to raise money for Haiti. We have already donated close to $100,000.00 to various organizations. My parents are Haitian, and I am working diligently in WDC to get money and aids in Haiti. I was wondering if you would mind donating a signed Jersey of yours for the silent auction? Please let me know.
Thanks a million!!!

Q)
Regarding Haiti, any way I could send you a package describing our effort to bring a Haitian rara band to New Orleans? Most Americans don't know what rara is, and New Orlineans would recognize it as a direct ancestor of the 2nd line tradition. The General tells me we need defense, as well as offense, to combat centuries of misunderstanding. Thanks so much for unfolding the most exciting football season, bar-none, of my life. But more importantly, it is astounding, and healing, to see you represent Haiti so positively, on a platform so esteemed in this country. Haiti forever! Colts On The Ground!

Hey Dan, thanks for your really awesome email and all your support. It means a lot to be able to represent New Orleans well both on and off the field. I really like your idea to bring a rara band to New Orleans. You can send the package (via Fed Ex or UPS) to the Saints' facility. Here is the address:

Hello Vilma. My name is Brad, I am the President of Long Island University Brooklyn Campus Haitian Students Association. I wanted to ask if you would be willing to partake in an event on April 7th called "Haitian Black List." The Purpose of the event is to hold a panel of different Haitian people in America and to acknowledge prominent Haitians doing things in the society. The purpose of it is to discuss the difficulties being a Haitian in America and what steps did you take becoming successful. After will be an open discussion with fellow students asking questions. I would like to know if you would be willing to show your support to our event. For further information please contact me via e mail:

I hope to hear from you. Thank you for all of your work and congrats on the win.

Hey Bradley. Thanks for reaching out to me and for inviting me to take part in your event. Your organization sounds like it is making a difference in the community, so good work and thanks for representing the Haitians in the community. Unfortunately, I will not be able to travel to Brooklyn in April for the event. I will be busy with training camp and practices. Thanks again for your support, and I hope to hear from you again soon.

Jon, I told my brother during the SB that whoever's jersey I was wearing was going to their thing. Lo and behold, I was wearing 51 and of course you batted down some balls that could've put the Colts up. My family jokingly said I should take you out to lunch, and I said, "Why not?...it could hahppen." If you're in NOLA during the off season, I'd be honored to buy lunch.

Hey Irfan, thanks for wearing my jersey and for the support! The Super Bowl was an unbelievable win and I still cannot believe we did it! Your story sounds very interesting, but I unfortunately will not be able to join you for lunch. I have a very busy offseason working with Haitian relief efforts and various organizations in Miami. I appreciate the offer thought! Talk to you soon.

Hey J.V. I was able to purchase your game-used jersey from the London game in '08. I need to get it signed and was wondering will you be doing any signings in the near future?
--mike parker, slidell, LA

A)
Hey Mike. I do not have any signings scheduled in the near future because I have been so busy from all the Super Bowl hoopla and the Haiti relief efforts. However, I would definitely be able to sign your jersey for you if you send it to the Saints' facility with a note saying what you would like written. Make sure you send it via Fed Ex or UPS, and not regular mail. Here is the address:

Thanks Mike!

Hi Jon, unfortunately I was on the other side of the float you were on and didn't get to say Hi to you. The parades were awesome and I am glad you were able to participate. I hope now though that you are spending some down time with your family. Again, thank you very much for your play this year. Man, it was the greatest!!! My wife and I are still playing "Crunk".
